My name is Aaron Kemple and I am a preacher who has worked full-time in ministry for over two decades. I have a beautiful wife, Anna, and we’ve been married for 26 years. We are blessed with 6 wonderful children. Our family continues to grow as we now have an awesome son-in law and sweet daughter-in-law, and grandbabies!
The passion I have for leadership was instilled in me by a few key people in my life.
One man that I specifically want to mention is Roger Shouse. Roger is a minister of the gospel who moved to where I went to church when I was 8 years old. Since that time he has been a mentor, father figure, and friend. Roger introduced me to the shepherding concept long ago, and is always encouraging me to read new books and grow as a leader. You can check out Roger’s blog, Jump Starts, and visit the congregation’s website where he now preaches.
My wife, Anna, has always been there by my side in the best and worst of times. She is my best friend and cheerleader, and is constantly helping me be a better man in Christ. I want to be a better leader because of my Anna. By watching her care for sheep and goats, I have learned valuable leadership concepts from her. Thanks babe! She is also an entrepreneur, soap-maker and owner of Anna Louise Farm, LLC. Go buy some soap!
My best friend, Shane Blackmer, has that shepherd’s heart. We’ve traveled through a lot of valleys and hard times together, and I’m so blessed to have him as my friend. His background as an officer in the Air Force and his civilian work with the Army has given him some incredible insights to leadership. On top of that, as a man in Christ who has faced many trials, he has been equipped by God with the heart of the Shepherd. Thanks Shane (call sign – “Chewy” for Chewbacca) for always having my back. He is owner and president of the Blackmer Group. Check out his LinkedIn page.
A special thanks to Benjamin Lee, minister, coach and host of the I Can Do Podcast. He has been such an encouragement to me in getting this website and podcast going (not to mention kicking my behind and getting me in shape!). Thanks Benjamin!
Also, thanks to Max Dawson, minister and shepherd with the Dowlen Road Church of Christ in Beaumont, Texas. His valuable insights on Shepherding have been such a great help! Thanks Max! I am so thankful to God that I am now working alongside Max with the Dowlen Road congregation!
I hope you really enjoy and profit from this website and podcast!
